Summary: After five years away in hope of
finding his home planet, Superman returns to Earth and amazingly gets his
old job back at the Daily Planet in Metropolis. However, he was
distressed hearing that Lois Lane has won the Pulitzer Prize for the
article "Why the World Doesn't Need Superman", has become
engaged, and has a five year old son. Life must go on and Superman
is busy saving lives while investigating the black out around the
world. Unbeknownst to the world, Superman is back just in time to
once again rescue us from Lex Luthor who wants to destroy billions of
lives.
It's a must-watch movie
with great action sequence, and the plot is intriguing. However, the
ending was predictable and not original. I can anticipate what the
plot is going to be for the sequel.
The video quality was
anything but super. In quite a few dark scenes, the close-up face
shots of Lois and Superman were plague with mosquito video compression
noise. I am shocked that DVDs mastered these days still suffer from
such video compression artifacts.

Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 soundtracks, then both are listed. All
DVD-Video discs are backwards compatible with stereo-only playback
