Summary: Cuba Gooding, Jr. plays a highly
successful dentist in Miami's hip and yuppie South Beach district. He seems to have
everything going well for him. That is until a mysterious summon arrives
one
day. As a result of a startling discovery, he embarks on a unique
adventure to Alaska to settle a "business" he didn't know he
had. During his stay in the bitter cold of Alaska, he learns to
adjust to the harsh lifestyle and actually picks up mushing,
the sport of sled dogs. He also learns other important things in
life. Cuba Gooding, Jr. is the perfect comedic genius who
successfully brings
his character vividly to life. I can't imagine any other actor who
could possibly fill this role. If you're looking for a hilarious
comedy with some action, adventure, and heart-warming drama, look no further. Snow Dogs
is delightful, and should offer entertainment value for the entire family.
(Parents of younger children should note that there are some crude humor
that may be unsuitable for the really young ones.) Too bad Snow
Dogs is available only in full
screen (no widescreen
version is available).
Special Features: audio commentary with
director Brian Levant and producer Jordan Kerner, deleted and extended
scenes, "Ted's Arctic Challenge" set-top game (depending on the
speed of your DVD player, this interactive video game using the DVD
player's slow remote control cannot be be enjoyable), "Going to
the Dogs" featurette, "Chillin' with the Actors"
featurette, and "Tolketna On Ice" featurette
