Summary: OK, ladies. Imagine with me,
if you will, that you're a single mom working as a maid in a very upscale
hotel in Manhattan. You're trying to make ends meet, to raise your
son who is the world to you, but whose father frequently fails to spend
time with him. You're trying to make something out of your life, but
your mother tells you to just be a maid and pay the bills.
One day while you're cleaning up a hotel suite,
your best friend and colleague sees a wonderful suit that is just your
size and she begs you to just try it on. Reluctantly, you put on
this suit which seems to simultaneously transforms you to another
woman. Then suddenly, one of the most eligible and handsome
bachelors of New York stumbles into the suite and simply drops his jaw in
awe over the sight of you! Your interest in him also piques and you
share a quaint walk together in Central Park. It is like a fairy
tale coming true right before your eyes. One encounter leads to
another... and the next thing you know, you can't think about
anything else but him. You've been ready to tell him the truth about
who you really are, but it fails to come out until...
Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes wonderfully
portray this modern fairy tale romance that will sweep you off your
feet. The performances are delightful, even if the movie is rather
predictable. If you're looking for a feel good, light hearted,
romantic comedy that will take you away for a few hours, look no
further. You've got it maid.
